Biography

Jazmín Torres was appointed clarinet with the Symphony Orchestra of the Autonomous University of Hidalgo State (OSUAEH) in January 2018. She previously served as principal clarinet with the Youth Symphony Orchestra Carlos Chávez (OECCH), Symphony Orchestra Estanislao Mejía (OSEM-FaM-UNAM), Symphony Orchestra of the Conservatory of the National University of Colombia and Youth and Children's Orchestra of Mexico (OSIM). And a clarinetist guest of Philarmonic Orchestra of National University of México and Symphonic Orchestra Guanajuato University.

A devoted chamber musician, Ms. Torres has collaborated with members of the Mexico City Philharmonic Orchestra, Woodwind Quintet Artis Ventus and The University of Mexico Faculty Woodwind Quintet. And on musical theater collaborated for "Fiddler on the Roof" with Beristain Productions and actually colaborated with Arts Orchestra making music on cinema live.

Jazmín Torres is a graduate of The Faculty of Music of The National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), where she studied with Luis Humberto Ramos. Currently she study with Eleanor Weingartner at Mexico´s national training orchestra and music school, Orquesta-Escuela Carlos Chávez
