Janet Axelrod

Biography

Janet Axelrod is a flutist! I am a new voting member of the "Class of 2025" at the Recording Academy, on the advisory board of Maestra, the elected Trial Board of AFM Local 802 and an American Ambassador to the EXPO 2025, performing in Osaka, Japan. I’m a Yamaha Artist and a flutist who specializes in instruments from all over the world. I have extensive chamber music, orchestral, opera and commercial experience. I have been performing in New York for over 20 years as the flutist with the Radio City Music Hall orchestra, more than 25 Broadway shows, the Off-Broadway debut of Shaina Taub's SUFFS, have been working at City Center with Encores!, and tour with Andrea Bocelli. I am a Maestra MOM (one fantastic son) and I am STRONGLY allied with the idea that EMPOWERED WOMEN EMPOWER WOMEN. (and anyone who needs a boost).
