Jacob Randall Holmes

Biography

Soon to be Frost grad Jacob Randall Holmes (b. 1992) is an active media composer, music director, and vocalist currently living and working in Miami, Florida. Since moving, Jacob has continued to work in the professional musical theatre world. They served as Assistant Music Director for Brandon Bush (of Train) in the Winter (2021) Workshop of “Me Before You” at GableStage at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables. They also performed as the Band Leader and Assistant Music Director under Caryl Fantel at the 25th Annual Summer Shorts Festival at the Adrienne Arsht Center last June. Jacob also works as a Choral Adjunct/Vocal Coach - Pop/Musical Theatre at Westminster Christian school in Palmetto Bay, Florida. During their intense study in the Media Scoring & Production program Jacob has been able to bring their music composition skills to a new genre. The craft, portfolio and newly acquired media scoring and production skills have prepared JRH to successfully begin his entrance to the world of film and T.V. music

Jacob also produces regular social media content on YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok to promote his presence as a content creator.

JRH has a Bachelor of Music (2016) in Composition from Baldwin Wallace University and Conservatory of Music. While at BW Jacob studied Music Composition with Composer in Residence Dr. Clint Needham, and studied Musical theatre songwriting and orchestration. Jacob also studied voice as a tenor. While At BW they performed in the annual Bach Festival as a member of the University Choir for 3 years. They Completed their Master of Music in Composition at Carnegie Mellon University.

They also studied organ with James McLaughlin for 2 years (2019 - 2021).
