Biography
Holly Cinnamon (she/they) is a queer genderfluid lesbian independent singer-songwriter and music producer based in NYC. They have self-produced, engineered and released six singles through their record label, The Female Gayze, including "Small Town Queer" about their experience growing up queer in the rural Midwest in Alberta, Canada and “Ride Sally Ride” which explores America’s first female astronaut’s journey to space in 1983 and her decision to live in her queerness upon her return to Earth. They are currently working on their first full-length album with Plaid Dog Studios, which was partially funded by a crowdfunding campaign. As an actor, Holly has appeared in Succession, Daredevil and Hocus Pocus 2 and the off-Broadway show Dear Jane, and numerous productions across Canada. Holly holds an MFA in Musical Theatre from the Boston Conservatory at Berklee School of Music and a BA in Drama from the University of Alberta. Holly performs live shows around NYC and in Toronto, plays ukulele and keyboard. She is also a screenwriter and playwright and devised theatre director, who has been independently writing and producing original work for over fifteen years across Canada and the Eastern U.S. They also work as a dramaturg to support other writers, and they are an Alexander Technique and Yoga teacher, offering private somatic coaching and AT applied to on-camera work and theatre auditions. Holly is happy to combine her many skills as a coach, songwriter, book writer, dramaturg, instrumentalist, singer and music producer when approaching any collaboration.
