Biography
Heather Prowse is an in-demand session trumpeter, flugelhornist, vocalist, music educator, bandleader and composer. She graduated with a Bachelor of Music (Jazz Performance – Trumpet) from Sydney Conservatorium of Music in the class of 2017, and has been active in Sydney's live music and theatre scene for over a decade.
Heather's musical theatre credits include Half Time (Hayes Theatre), Visiting Hours (KXT), Sweet Charity (Willoughby Theatre Company), Wicked, Les Miserables and Be More Chill (Noteable Theatre Company). She has performed as an associate artist with Lime Cordiale, The Tipsy Scholars, Jackie Brown Jr. and On the Stoop; and directs her own ensemble, the 343 Brass Band. She has been a member and soloist of internationally acclaimed big bands Sydney Conservatorium Jazz Orchestra and Sirens Big Band.
Heather is also a highly sought-after school band and choral director and private trumpet tutor across Sydney's north shore and inner west.
