Biography

Hannah Fry is a versatile multi-instrumentalist based in London. Having graduated from the Royal Northern College of Music with a First-Class Honours Degree in 2016, Hannah has worked primarily in the Theatre and Session industries. Hannah joined the London Musical Theatre Orchestra in 2017, and has since had the opportunity to perform in several projects, making her West End debut with the group as well as performing at West End Live and joining the orchestra for the performance and original London Cast Recording of Howard Goodall’s Girlfriends. She also joined Patrick Kennedy’s Phenomenological Theatre Company for the European Premiere of Elephant Steps at the Arcola Theatre, premiered Jewish Hollywood at Upstairs at the Gatehouse, and was a chair holder in the Thursford Christmas Spectacular 2021. Most recently, Hannah has recorded saxophone for the London Cast Recording of My Son’s a Queer, including performances of the tracks at the show’s West End run at the Garrick Theatre, and spent last Christmas season in Birmingham on Nativity!.

Hannah is a founding member of the Ignition Orchestra, with whom she has had the pleasure of performing at venues such as the Barbican, Eventim Apollo, and Royal Festival Hall with the stars of the UK Garage Scene, including Mike Skinner, Miss Dynamite, and Craig David. Hannah recorded an album with the group, which was released under Sony’s Since ’93 label after a sold-out launch at the Royal Albert Hall in 2019. Also working in TV and radio, Hannah has recorded for a number of TV adverts, performed live and pre-recorded features on ITV (National Lottery’s New Year’s Eve Big Bash) and Channel 4 (Last Leg), and features in the music video for Larkins’s Are We Having Any Fun Yet?.
