  • Biography

    G. Victoria Campbell (she/her) is a singer-songwriter, musical theatre composer, lyricist, playwright, and DEI expert. Born and raised in Seattle, she moved to Switzerland in 2019, and then to NYC in 2022 to join the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop. Her mission as an artist is to uplift and empower marginalized communities by inspiring humanity toward collective action to help transform our society to have greater belonging, equity, and inclusion.

Her debut theatrical work, TREESON: AN ECO-MUSICAL (conceived in 2020), is an original new musical about what it means to find purpose in life amidst the climate crisis. The TREESON Original Cast Recording demo concept album (2021) has been praised for its unique, fresh Americana soundscape. Industry comments include, “The score is incredibly dynamic, sophisticated and earthbound. Exceptional songwriting. An outstanding cast album!” (Joe Barros, Director of New York Theatre Barn) and “...It reminds me in some ways of HAIR...in the sense of how attractively listenable it is!” (Jack Viertel, Author of The Secret Life of the American Musical: How Broadway Shows Are Built).

Most recently, TREESON is a semi-finalist for the O’Neill NMTC (2023), was hand-picked and featured in New Musical Project’s inaugural season (2022), and selected for the NYMF (2022) and Emerging Artists New Works Series (2023). Her songs have been performed at venues including The Green Room 42, the Union Theatre (London), ASU Kerr Theatre, and the Dairy Arts Center (Boulder). Additionally, several songs from TREESON were selected for various showcases including Spotlight on New Musicals (London, 2022), Women in the Arts & Media Coalition Conversations in America (2022), Tin Pan Alley 2’s Concert Series (2021), The Latest Draft Podcast’s Season 2 Finale cabaret show (2021), the It's Time Climate Festival (2020), and Red Piano Productions Emerging Artists Showcase (London, 2020).

She is a Soho House Foundation Fellow (2023) and incoming artist in residence at The Tyrone Guthrie Center in Ireland (2023). She writes music in a variety of genres including musical theater, folk, pop-rock, nu jazz, melodic metal and Nordic EDM and is a frequent collaborator with MoEoStAr, The Churning Mondays and Jacob Didas. She is a member of the Dramatists Guild, BMI and Maestra.

When she’s not writing music, she designs and delivers custom Human Resources and DEIA solutions for client organizations. Whether consulting with HR clients or making art, her mission is to uplift and empower marginalized communities by inspiring humanity toward collective action to help transform our society to have greater belonging, equity, and inclusion.
