Biography
Francesca Cayla Castro is a talented singer-guitarist originally hailing from Chicago, now based in New York City. With her infectious energy and passion for music, she has quickly made a name for herself in the entertainment industry. She is particularly known for her standout role as one of the Band Freaks, Ms. Rockwell, in the Mean Girls Movie (2024), which showcases her exceptional vocals and comedic acting skills. In addition to her work in film, Francesca is also an accomplished musician on Broadway. She plays guitar in some of the most popular shows, including SIX, Book of Mormon, and Back to the Future.
Her album, “TWO,” is a 2-sided release that showcases her incredible range as an artist, featuring all of her original songs. The album is a fun mix of Jazz and R&B influences, skillfully blending suave melodies with rich, rhythmic undertones that invite listeners to relax and dance along. Additionally, her EP “Day by Day” includes the fan-favorite, “Cup of Tea,” which has gained over 1 million streams on Spotify.
