Evelyn Joan Halus
Evelyn is a Los Angeles Based singer/ songwriter/ vocal coach. Her studio clients include Disney, Dreamworks, Old Navy, Virgin Records, ABC, and Universal. Her private teaching roster includes: Cher, Depeche Mode, Jennifer Coolidge, Nathan Lane, Jessica Biel, Neil Patrick Harris, Sutton Foster, Lindsay Mendez, Matthew Morrison, Kerry O'Malley, Jennifer Lopez, Brandy, Kenneth Branagh, Alicia Silverstone and Kevin Kline. Evelyn proudly teaches Rock Musical Theatre vocal/ performance at UCLA.
She can be heard as Eleanor Roosevelt and Evelyn Lincoln on PS Classic's FIRST LADY SUITE (Original Cast Album) as well as on the studio cast albums for LADY BE GOOD, OH, KAY! and PARDON MY ENGLISH (Elektra/ Nonesuch)
Passionate about developing new musicals, Evelyn is a founding member of NMI's Academy Repertory Company and over the years has performed in staged readings of hundreds of musicals in various stages of development. As a composer/lyricist/ librettist her original musicals include Cloud 9, Surf Crazy (Idyllwild Arts) and Backstage Manor (Feinstein's 54 Below) As a producer she produced CORONA'S CABARET:An Act of Destruction (written and performed by her daughter, MAESTRA member Oliviana Marie) the winner of PLAYBILL'S Virtual Theatre Festival.
