Erika Gundesen

Biography

Erika Gundesen is a distinguished graduate of the University of British Columbia in Canada as well as the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London, where she was awarded a Masters in Performance as well as an Artist Diploma as an Opera Répétiteur. She has competed as a finalist in the Canadian Music Competition as well as the Knigge International Piano Competition. She has also been an assistant conductor for the Guildhall, a Young Artist at the National Opera Studio, a Britten Pears Young Artist and an Emerging Artist at Scottish Opera. Erika has worked as a freelance pianist, coach and conductor in Vancouver and London, including recitals, opera, and theatre productions. She specializes in workshopping new works as well as cabaret performance.
Erika currently works as a coach at the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Arts (LAMDA) and as music director for Virtually Opera.
