Biography

Emma is a vocalist/actress, orchestrator, music assistant, and company manager.

Her work in music and theatre has spanned over a multitude of positions, including as an actress, orchestrator, company manager, stage manager, producer, and performance venue technical specialist. She has a particular passion for working on new works and has done so on productions, including "Diamond Alice" by Alex Gemignani and Ben Steinfeld (AMTP), "City of Dreams" by Finn Anderson (Edinburgh Festival Fringe), and, most recently, "The Chosen One" by Eli Cohen (New York).

Music and theatre have been the two main loves of her life for as long as she can remember. However, the passion she carries with her no matter what field of theatre she works in is her dedication to EDIA. She is incredibly passionate about increased diversity, equity, and accessibility in all positions in musical theatre, particularly creative, technical, and administrative roles. She served as the first EDIA director and company manager the Waa-Mu Show, an organization at Northwestern University dedicated to creating new musicals from the ground-up. Having recently moved to New York from Los Angeles, she is excited to explore ways to pursue initiatives that will create opportunities for those who are underrepresented in theatre to make the skill, talent, and voices heard.

Emma also has experience teaching music and theatre to elementary school-aged children. She also has experience voice coaching and teaching music theory to people ranging from elementary to college-aged.

Emma earned a BA in Theatre from Northwestern University with a minor in English Literature and was a part of the Musical Theatre Certificate program. She studied orchestration and arranging under the instruction of Ryan T. Nelson.

She is very excited to pursue her work in New York City. When not working on theatre, Emma is slaying monsters in Dungeons and Dragons, trying a new recipe, or enjoying her next favorite story.
