Biography

Emma Helene Campbell is a violinist, pianist, and actor-musician currently based in New York City from Wisconsin. With a B.A. in Violin Performance from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire, she has built a diverse career performing in pit orchestras, symphonies, and onstage as a featured instrumentalist. Some of her theatrical credits include Reza in Once with Little Victory Theatre, She Loves Me (violin) with Maggie’s Little Theatre, Next to Normal (violin) & La Cage aux Folles (keys 1) with Revival Theatre Company, The Secret Garden with Forte Theatre Company (violin and AMD), and multiple productions with Lakeside Players in Kenosha, WI. She’s held Summerstock season violin/viola positions with the Clinton Area Showboat Theater (2025) and NorthernSky Theater (2024), where she played for world premiere of fellow Maestra, Katie Dahl’s, The Fisherman’s Daughters. On stage she’s brought the role of the “Fiddler” to life in Fiddler on the Roof with Rock River Repertory Theatre and combined live performance with character work as a violinist-actor in A Gift of the Magi with Third Avenue Playworks.

In addition to her theatrical work, Emma has performed multiple times at Birdland with Jim Caruso’s “Cast Party”, and at GreenRoom 42 in the LineUp with Susie Mosher. Emma was also featured on stage with the band Disturbed during their performance of “The Sound of Silence” at Rockfest (2022). Emma’s also performed with the Litha Symphony Orchestra, Chippewa Valley Symphony Orchestra, and the UW-Eau Claire Eileen Cohen Scholarship String Quartet. Her versatility extends orchestral and chamber music with studio recordings, and festival performances, including a featured recital at the SHE: Festival of Women in Music (2024).
