Emily O'Brien
Biography
Emily O'Brien is currently a student at the University of North Texas pursuing a B.M. in Clarinet Performance as well as a B.B.A. in Marketing. On campus, she is involved in the North Texas Wind Ensemble as well as chamber music ensembles and plans on expanding into more ensembles throughout her time at UNT.
Most recently, she played Reed 1 (Clarinet & Alto Saxophone) in Denton Community Theatre's production of Cabaret. In high school, Emily participated in the pit orchestra of her high school's productions of Fiddler on the Roof and West Side Story as well as a local production of Beauty and the Beast. In addition to performing, she taught private clarinet lessons to local students to help them be best prepared for concerts, auditions, and other performances.
During the past year as a student at UNT, she has enrolled in instrumental methods classes that have taught her how to play and teach clarinet, flute, saxophone, oboe, and bassoon.
