Emily Howell
Biography
Emily is currently studying at the Juilliard School. She is a founding member of the Plagal Cadence Horn Quartet and the Essengi Wind Quintet. She has served as a Gluck Community Engagement Fellow, presenting interactive performances in hospitals, nursing homes, hospices and alternative care facilities across the five boroughs. She has attended the Napa Valley Blackburn Music Academy as a fellow, Aspen Music Festival, and Eastern Music Festival. This past year, the Essengi wind quintet traveled to China to participate and perform at the Tianjin Juilliard Orchestra Symposium. In addition to Horn, she is also an arranger, singer, and pianist; she enjoys creating multi-track pop, classical, and musical theater projects using Digital Audio Workstations. Emily has taught private french horn lessons to students ranging from beginner to intermediate: elementary through high school.
