Biography
Elizabeth Tobald is an American violist with a multi-faceted academic and musical career. Originally from Kansas, Elizabeth received her Bachelors in Viola and Oboe Performance from Kansas State University and a Graduate Certificate from Lamont School of Music in Denver. Currently based in London, Elizabeth graduated with honours from Royal Academy of Music with a master’s in Viola Performance. During her studies, Elizabeth has served as Principal Violist for Pueblo, Hays, and Salina Symphony Orchestras. Since graduating, Elizabeth has worked as a freelance performer in London in a wide variety of ensembles, including recently making her West End debut playing in Les Misérables. Passionate about community engagement, Elizabeth has partaken in various community engagement programs, including co-founding the Con Brio Project, an outreach organization dedicated to underserved communities through music.
