Elizabeth Curtin Alonso
Elizabeth is a musical theatre specialist who brings a diverse skillset and breadth of experience to every project. A lifelong pianist with a degree in Vocal Performance, she enjoys working both on and off the stage as a vocalist, music director, actor, and educator. In both performing and directing, she highly values versatility, vocal health, and vulnerability.
Elizabeth’s approach to music and theatre-making is holistic, placing high value on acknowledging and respecting every collaborator’s full humanity, and celebrating their unique contributions and talents. Above all, she believes in the power of an authentic performance, and aims to bring truth to the surface when working on any artistic project.
Elizabeth endeavors to see all angles at once:
When working as a music director and pianist, she makes choices informed by her understanding of the performers’ perspective and needs.
When working as a singer and actor, she makes choices informed by her interpretation of the composers’ intentions and the storytelling they weave into the musical fabric of the piece.
