Eliana O'Brien
Biography
Driven by a heartfelt and zealous approach to creating and collaborating, Eliana Joy O’Brien is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, educator, and artist from Albuquerque, New Mexico. At the tender age of 23, her wealth of diverse artistic experiences include social media management with the Santa Fe Opera, a jazz voice residency with New York City’s MMC Big Band, serving as assistant chorus master for the American premiere of Ukrainian opera-ballet The Heart of Oksana, producing and directing You & I (an original short film funded by the Kennedy Center), and teaching from coast to coast. After a short, sweet lifetime of playing classical piano and euphonium, Eliana moved to Brooklyn to embark on the intimate exploration of jazz as a creative medium. Currently located in Santa Fe, NM, Eliana can be found crafting an elaborate art project, captivating audiences with earnest interpretations of jazz standards, or just having a plain ol’ silly goose time.
