Biography
Diana Valero is a young pianist and composer from Caracas, Venezuela. She became interested in music at a very young age and has been part of several pop, rock, latin ensembles and jazz big bands. Her music showcases her jazz background and her love for orchestral music while promoting her cultural roots by incorporating Venezuelan and latin american rhythms into her compositions. Diana has written original music for multiple short films, some of which have been awarded and selected at film festivals around the US. In 2020, she was one of three recipients of the Gifted Tuition Scholarship from the Latin Grammy Cultural Foundation and was one of the ten individuals to be selected out of more than 500 applicants from all around the world for the Adobe Creativity Scholarship. Diana attends New York University and is currently in her fourth year majoring in Music Theory and Composition with a concentration in Screen Scoring.
