Biography
One of the first graduates from Concordia University’s Performance Creation program, I am a gay composer/lyricist based in Montréal, Canada. While I've so far been composing and writing my own lyrics, I've become increasingly interested in collaborating as a composer with other lyricists and bookwriters who may be able to lend their own unique talents and perspectives to my music. My true strength lies in writing melodies, and I would love to see this heightened by other people's words. However, I do still love writing lyrics and will probably never be able to give it up completely!
I've participated in small-scale song cycles and cabarets, I've written the music and lyrics to a full-length musical currently in development, and in my spare time for fun I composed the entire score for a children's cartoon that doesn't exist. All of the songs from that project can be found on YouTube, and some are also on Spotify and other streaming services. I also orchestrated and recorded them all myself!
Currently on the Board of Directors at Playwrights' Workshop Montréal and entering NYU's Graduate Musical Theatre Writing program as a composer in fall 2024.
