Biography

Danielle Breitstein is a musical theater writer and musician based in Brooklyn, NY.

Bachelor of Music in Professional Music at Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, with concentrations in
Musical Theater Writing, Contemporary Conducting and Musical Theater Direction.

Master of Arts in Writing and Design for Musical Theater at BerkleeNYC, where they began developing their first full-length musical: Spelling Club: A Pop-Punk Teen Witch Musical Comedy.

As a violinist and violist she has playing experience in a broad range of genres including classical, musical theater, pop/rock, and jazz. She has performed in concerts at Boston’s Berklee Performance Center, Boston’s Symphony Hall, Jordan Hall, NYC’s Sony Hall, 54 Below, Green Room 42, and more. She has played with singer/songwriter Madds Buckley, Zoe Sparks, and Tony and Grammy winner Charlie Rosen’s 8-Bit Big Band.

A massive nerd about sheet music, Danielle works primarily in Sibelius and has worked as an orchestrator, arranger, and copyist. Most recently an arrangement of hers was performed at the first Maestra Jam.
