Cybèle Fasquelle
She/Her
Biography
Ming-An Cybèle Fasquelle is a French-American composer, lyricist, producer, and performer working at the intersection of musical theatre and contemporary pop music. A Harvard University graduate in Psychology, she is currently completing her Master’s in Writing and Production for Musical Theatre at Berklee NYC (Powerstation).
She is currently developing Mao Tai: The Musical, a multigenerational work inspired by her family’s escape from Communist China to New York in 1949. Cybèle’s compositions have been commissioned by the American Cancer Society and Stanford Graduate School of Business, and her songwriting has been honored by the RFK Foundation and the Grammy Museum. She was awarded the Larry and Luisa Dunn “Shining Star” Award after performing for Berry Gordy at The Saban Theater.
As a performer, she has appeared at the American Repertory Theater, Goodspeed Opera House, the Apollo Theater, Green Room 42, and Staples Center. She also sang in Coca-Cola’s “It’s Beautiful” Super Bowl commercial, lending her voice to one of the most widely broadcast moments in American media.
Cybèle is a co-founder of The Mix, the first cross-college, all-women-led music industry initiative between Harvard and Berklee, creating space and professional pathways for emerging artists and executives in historically male-dominated spaces. Raised in Paris, Beijing, and Los Angeles, she brings a global, multilingual lens to her storytelling, and is driven by her desire to create expansive stories that put women's narratives at the forefront.
