Biography

My name is Christine Hunsberger and in my life, I focus on those ordinary little experiences that bring me joy. I transform these tiny moments in a bottle into songs.

My first musical memory was my older brother teaching me how to read music. We’d sit at our mother’s electric organ and he’d show me which notes correspond to the treble clef lines “every good boy deserves fudge”. One day when I was looking out the window, I noticed a beautiful bluebird. I sat down at the organ, played random notes and sang about that bluebird. I must have been 6 or 7 years old at the time, and I’m sure the piece was completely incoherent, but this remains how I begin my creative process today.

My favorite moments are the ordinary ones I share with others, and that’s why love and companionship are major themes in my music. I hope that my music reminds others of the joys in little things. No matter where I go or who I’m with, I’ll always be drawn to experiencing that slice of life.
