Chris Fiol
Biography
Chris Fiol (they/them) is a Madison-based tuba player currently pursuing a MM in Tuba Performance at the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
As a performer, they have had numerous opportunities playing with various orchestral groups, concert bands, and brass chamber ensembles. When they are not performing or rehearsing, they are active in arranging and transcribing music, as well as volunteering with various music organizations including the Tuba-Euphonium Social Justice Initiative and International Jazz Day.
Chris began their undergraduate studies at James Madison University, but then transferred and completed their degree at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. They studied with Justin Worley and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Instrumental Music performance. They are currently working towards a Master’s Degree in Tuba Performance at the University of Wisconsin - Madison and is studying with Tom Curry.
