Biography
Charlotte Daniels is a composer/orchestrator, lyricist, and writer based in New York. Most recently, she co-wrote the music, lyrics, and book of White House Princess, an original musical about Alice Roosevelt, with Maureen Clare. The show was produced in Oct. 2023 at the Agassiz Theater in Cambridge, MA. Charlotte was the recipient of the Phyllis Anderson Prize for Playwriting at Harvard.
Charlotte wrote music and co-wrote lyrics and book for two musicals with Rachel Carlson. Elderhood, a story about a young girl finding music therapy to connect with her grandmother with Alzheimer's, was workshopped and produced at The Wallis Annenberg Center for Performing Arts in Los Angeles. Manore School The Musical, a comedy about an all-girls high school, was workshopped at Marlborough School, with a grant from the Jewish Federation of Los Angeles.
Charlotte graduated from Harvard College with a Bachelor's in Neuroscience, in the Dual Degree Program with Berklee College of Music. She is currently attending NYU for Graduate Musical Theater Writing. In her spare time, she loves baking and improv comedy. She volunteers for The Miracle Project, which works to create an arts community for neurodiverse individuals.
