Biography
Charity is a horn player, composer, and creative currently based in Phoenix, AZ. She is Artist-in-Residence at Mirabella, a luxury retirement community, where she programs and performs weekly recitals and engagement events. Charity has performed recently with the Phoenix Symphony, ProMusica Arizona, the West Valley Symphony, and the Scottsdale Philharmonic, in addition to two years of serving as orchestral principal at ASU. As a composer and improviser on both horn and piano, her works emphasize expressive melodies and lyricism, seeking to substantiate meaningful implications that extend beyond musical ideas. Charity studied horn at the University of North Texas with Dr. Stacie Mickens, where she graduated summa cum laude with her Bachelor of Arts in Music and two minors in English and Chinese. She is currently completing a Masters in Horn Performance at Arizona State University with Dr. John Ericson.
