Biography
Cathryn Wake is an actor, singer, and musician based in New York City. She made her Broadway debut as an ensemble member and clarinet player in the original cast of Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812 at the Imperial Theater.
As a stage actor, Cathryn has specialized in originating characters in new work. Select actor-musician credits include playing clarinet and originating the role of real-life WWI veteran Louise LeBreton in The Hello Girls (Off-Broadway, 59E59), playing six instruments and ten characters in The Other Josh Cohen (Off-Broadway, Westside Theatre), playing mandolin and several characters in Ebenezer Scrooge's Christmas Show (The Old Globe), and playing electric & bass guitar as the roles of Nathan/Margaret in Agent 355 (Chautauqua Theatre Co).
On TV, she appeared in Glee (Fox) playing electric bass in "Bash", season 5, episode 15. Cathryn received her BFA from Pace University and the Classical Acting certificate from the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art.
