Casey Danielle Johnson

Biography

I began playing the cello at age 13, performed with major orchestras, and attended several music festivals such as Sphinx Performance Academy, Brevard Music Center, Sewanee Summer Music Festival, and Vienna Summer Festival. I have even had the opportunity to perform at Carnegie Hall with The University of Southern Mississippi (Hattiesburg) Orchestra and more recently, I was invited to audition at The Kennedy Center Opera House. Some of my musicals/operas include: Into the Woods, The Marriage of Figaro, Annie, Sweet Charity, Newsies, SpongeBob, A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Britten), and The Addams Family. I was also the First Prize Winner of the 2021 Mississippi Music Teacher’s Association Collegiate Competition Solo Division. I am currently pursing my Masters Degree in Performance at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
