Carolina Mercedes Díaz Chan

Biography

Carolina Díaz Chan is a classically trained violist, violinist, and arranger based in Brooklyn, NY. She is currently on tour with Broadway’s First National Tour of Jagged Little Pill. Carolina has performed with the American Symphony Orchestra, the Broadway Sinfonietta, Ed Sheeran, the Brooklyn Orchestra and Jamie Jones among others. She is also a section viola member of the Chamber Orchestra of New York. Carolina has performed on Broadway as a substitute in Into the Woods, Camelot, and Some Like it Hot. She holds a B.M. from the Eastman School of Music and an M.M. from the Manhattan School of Music. In her free time, Carolina loves to garden and is passionate about composting and other ways of sustainable living.
