Caitlin Thomas

Biography

Caitlin Thomas (she/her/hers) is a singer/songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist from Leonia, New Jersey. Most recently, she was the cellist on the 1st Nat'l Tour of Dear Evan Hansen, which officially closed July 2023. Previously, she held the Cello/Guitar chair in the band of the 2nd Nat’l Tour of Waitress, before the tour was cancelled due to Covid-19. She is a recent graduate of NYU’s Graduate Musical Theater Writing Program ('21), and holds her Bachelors of Music from Berklee College of Music (’19), where she double-majored in Contemporary Writing & Production and Songwriting, with a minor in Musical Theater Writing. Her original musical "Swear By the Moon," written with lyricist/librettist Peyton Marion, premiered in concert at Feinstein's/54 Below in October 2022. Caitlin's debut single, Love Me from St. Louis, was released on all streaming platforms in September 2020. Her work has been featured by the Berklee Women’s Musicians Network, and performed at Curtain Up: Original Musical Theater Showcase. She has been a Teaching Artist at Tone Music Academy, and Music Director at The Play Group Theatre in White Plains, NY (2022) and Boston Children's Theater (2019). She is currently working on a handful of projects, including a new musical and a musical revue featuring an eight-cello ensemble!
