Beth Golison
Biography
I am a writer/composer and performer based in Brooklyn, New York. My work sometimes focuses on women negotiating the relationships between imagination, delusion, and emotion. Other times it centers disability, climate justice, and/or stories of Queer joy!
I believe that storytelling is how we share warmth and whatever wisdom we have with one another. I am always excited to work, and I work to bring optimism, discipline, and care into the room (for each other, for the material, and for each other’s material).
Past works include Lottie and the Deep Blue Sea, a new Queer pirate musical (in concert at Ars Nova's ANT Fest), here i fall up, a new ghost story sung in folk music (in concert at The Tank, New Ohio's ICE Factory), mrs rochester: an autobiography (O'Neill Semifinalist, Groundbreaker's Grant Recipient), and (a new) blood wedding (Playwrights Downtown).
