Audrey Jellett
Biography
Cellist Audrey Jellett has performed with the National Youth Orchestra-USA, Texas All-State Philharmonic, World Youth Symphony Orchestra, and with the Interlochen Arts Academy Orchestra on tour at New World Center. Audrey began her musical studies at the age of three and has since gone on to study with Annette DiGiosia of the San Antonio Symphony, Dr. Patrick Owen at Interlochen Arts Academy, and Julia Lichten at the Manhattan School of Music. An avid chamber musician, Audrey was selected as a young artist performer for Cactus Pear Music Festival, and is an early member of the Opus Four String Quartet, which performs throughout the Texas Hill Country for private events, pre-concert lectures, and school outreach concerts. Audrey has attended two summers at Interlochen Arts Camp, as well as l’Académie Orford Musique and the Meadowmount School of Music. While at Meadowmount, Audrey was given the opportunity to perform for renowned cellist Lynn Harrell. Following her first summer at Meadowmount, Audrey continued her studies at Interlochen Arts Academy and performed as principal cellist with the Arts Academy Orchestra on NPR’s From the Top. At Interlochen, she graduated with academic honors as well as a Fine Arts award. Audrey is now in her fourth year at the Manhattan School of Music and enjoys freelancing in the city at venues such as the Morgan Library and Carnegie Hall. She also works and volunteers at Carnegie Hall’s Resnick Education Wing for community-wide music outreach events, such as their Afrofuturism and String Fling family events.
