Antonella Madrid
Biography
Antonella Madrid is a Venezuelan-American film composer, residing in London, United Kingdom. Her latest score was for the short film Boys Don't Cry, a score which amalgamates orchestral instrumentation with synthesizers and elements of sound design. She is a multi-instrumentalist, learning how to play the tuba at the age of 11, viola and steel drums at 12, and the guitar, ukulele, and theremin throughout high school and university. She studied Orchestration at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Composing for Film at Goldsmiths, University of London as part of their short-course programmes, and received her bachelor's degree in Music Technology and Production at the University of East London. She is currently working towards her master’s degree in Music (Audiovisual Cultures) degree at Goldsmiths, University of London.
