Ana Guigui
Biography
Professor of Voice at Berklee College of Music in Boston, Dr. Ana Guigui teaches several courses at Berklee, including “Writing, Developing, and Performing A One-Person Show,” curriculum she devised. She directs six solo shows each spring semester. She has directed staged readings of new musicals, including Professor Michael Wartofsky’s Cupcake (spring, 2016) and Peter Eldridge’s The Kiss (fall, 2016), Berklee alumni, Kyle Ewalt’s Red Waters (spring, 2017), and was the Spanish language/diction supervisor for Berklee’s 2016 fall production of In The Heights. She also served as vocal coach for Divas Latinas at the BPC. Summer Berklee initiatives include directing Musical Theater Chorus students and collaborating with Peter Cokkinias’ Musical Theater Orchestra. Ana has served on the Berklee on Broadway (BOB) committee (2016-2020) with Faculty Development and Berklee ambassador, Nona Hendryx.
Ana recorded and toured around the world as a long-standing keyboardist/vocalist for Christopher Cross, performed and recorded with Ben Folds, Chip Taylor, Jon Secada, Deborah Gibson, AMERICA, Stephen Bishop, Andrew Gold, Bo Bice, and Juan Gabriel. Ana is an active singer with the Tanglewood Festival Chorus (Boston Symphony) and the Metrowest Symphony in Boston. She completed her D.M.A. in Opera/Vocal Arts at USC’s Thornton School of Music.
