Amy Hsu
Biography
Amy is a music director, session musician and orchestrator currently based in London, England.
Hailing from the sunny shores of Auckland, New Zealand, Amy has worked luxury cruise lines and performed with over 70 entertainment acts from across the globe. Some of Amy’s professional theatre credits include the NZ tour of Jersey Boys (2021), and Mary Poppins (2020) at the Auckland Civic Theatre. Prior to the Academy, Amy was a part of the trans-Tasman symphonic electronic dance phenomena, Synthony, she was a two-time recipient of the Anna Nathan Prize in Early Keyboard Performance in 2016 and 2017, and performed Rhapsody in Blue with the Auckland Symphony Orchestra in 2017.
Her recording credits include Enliven (2021), a progressive rock album by Brazilian guitarist Tony Cantisano.
Amy is passionate about diversity and representation of people from the global majority.
Amy is currently studying at the Royal Academy of Music in Musical Direction & Coaching.
