Biography

Amanda Morton is a music director and writer based out of the NYC region. She is currently working on the Broadway revival of The Who's Tommy, playing at the Nederlander Theatre, as assistant conductor and keyboardist.

She is the music supervisor for a new adaptation of Anne of Green Gables (by Matte O'Brien and Matt Vinson) as well as Picnic at Hanging Rock (by Greta Gertler Gold and Hilary Bell).

As a writer, she was awarded a 2023 Pew Grant in the area of Contemporary Expressions of Culture & Identity. An original piece will be produced in Fall 2025. It will aim to investigate her experience as an adopted Korean American through the lens of satire and musical comedy.

She has a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre Performance from Ithaca College.
