Biography
Amanda Friesen (she/her) is a woodwind performer based in the Philadelphia area, originally from Northern New Jersey. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music Performance with a concentration in flute and low flutes from West Chester University in 2023. Amanda is passionate about performing in pit orchestras, where she finds deep inspiration in the collaborative and expressive environment of live theater.
In addition to her theatrical work, Amanda performs with a contemporary jazz ensemble that focuses on original compositions written by its members. The group blends a variety of stylistic influences and performs throughout the Philadelphia area. Through her diverse musical experiences, Amanda is committed to inspiring others to explore and develop their own passion for music and the arts.
