Biography
Amanda Dee is a pianist, violinist, and music director based in NYC and the Bay Area. Regional: A Most Immoral Woman (Across A Crowded Room NYPL Reading), Mary Poppins Piano 1 (Brick Church Community Theater), My Fair Lady MD (American Theater Group), The Full Monty Key 2 sub (The Gateway Playhouse). Bay Area: American Conservatory Theatre, SF Playhouse, Ray of Light Theatre, UC Berkeley BareStage, and others. At Northeastern, she was on production staff for 18 shows through their student-run musical theater company. With them, she directed/music directed the first collegiate production of Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812.
One of her greatest musical passions is youth theatre education. New York: TADA Youth Theater TA, Applause NY MD. Bay Area: Berkeley Playhouse YouthStage MD and American Conservatory Theatre Young Conservatory MD/Accompanist. She takes pride in connecting with young performers and helping them explore their identity and personality through the performing arts.
BS in Bioengineering, minors in Music and Mathematics (Northeastern University), PhD Candidate in Plant Biology (UC Berkeley). When not performing or rehearsing, she can be found playing video games, rock climbing, or biking.
