Allie Lewis

Allie Lewis

She/Her

Biography

Allie is a singer-songwriter/playwright from Connecticut who likes to say she’s a true New Yorker at heart. She grew up going to her grandparents’ house on Keuka Lake in western NY, where she loves to paddle board and spend as much time on the water as possible.

After graduating high school in 2018, she spent a gap year living in Brooklyn and working in the music/theatre industries in the city. She worked as an assistant music director for groups performing in the Mile Long Opera, was Music Ministry Intern at the First Unitarian Congregational Society in Brooklyn, assisted with orchestrations for groups such as the New York and Houston Pops Orchestras, and acted as Assistant Music Director at the York Theatre for their fall and winter shows (Midnight at the NeverGet, and Christmas in Hell).

After her gap year, she attended Ithaca College, where she received a Bachelors in Music with a Concentration in Voice and an Outside Field in Dramatic Writing. During her undergrad, she spent a good amount of her time accompanying students and working on her own performance skills, and was active in the campus’ student-led theatre organizations, where she music directed 13! (Theatre Lab aka TL, 2019), The Mad Ones (Second Stage, 2021), High School Musical (TL, 2021), The Addams Family (TL, 2021), and Grease (TL, 2022). She also founded, music directed, and arranged music for Ithaca College’s newest acappella group, Tone Cold. She debuted her original play, “Until the End of Time” in her Spring 2023 recital.

Allie released her debut album of original music, “Woman in the Moon” September 1st, 2023, and is currently pursuing a masters in Musical Theatre Writing from NYU Tisch.
When not playing music or writing, Allie likes to read, bake desserts, learn how to read tarot cards, and drink a good cup of tea (Earl Grey is her favorite:).
