Biography
Currently: ‘Annie’ (Assistant MD. UK/Ireland Tour 26/27); ‘Hamnet’ (MD and recorded musics. RSC/US Tour 2026).
Originally from the Midlands, Alice studied at the University of Birmingham, specialising in music performance and performance practice. She now works extensively as a musical director for theatre, and has a breadth of experience in musicals, plays and pantomime. She is particularly interested in new writing and is always keen to collaborate on new projects.
Alice has had the privilege of being a lecturer and visiting practitioner at several UK drama schools, including Mountview, Trinity Laban Conservatoire and Guildford School of Acting.
She has eclectic and unique musical experience in a variety of disciplines including early music, actor-musicianship, folk, orchestral, pop/function, and of course, theatre. She holds a Master’s degree on the recorder and is a versatile instrumentalist (including upper strings, accordion, viola da gamba).
