Alex Becker

Biography

I am an NYC-based actor, singer, and writer with roots in Nashville, New York, and New Orleans. My passion for the arts and for creative expression goes hand in hand with my desire to disrupt the status quo (when it’s not serving those it should), and offer new ways of thinking and being. I believe in Music-Theatre as an incredibly powerful vehicle to inspire change — within the self and within society. Along with creating and performing, I am a teaching artist. I guide students through a process of developing their own personal narratives and turning them into works of theatre, music, writing, and documentary film. I hold a BA in Anthropology and am currently pursuing my MFA in Music-Theatre Writing at NYU.
