Alene Lautz
Biography
Alene is an interdisciplinary artist, skilled in storytelling that influences culture and encourages others to explore their curiosities. Her strong voice and imaginative ideas put her at the intersection of "what is" versus "what could be" and plays in the grey area through music, interactive/immersive performance, and theatricality.
Alene currently attends New York University's Gallatin School of Individualized Study where she studies music, theatre, and film/TV. Classes she has taken include Music Technology, Songwriting, writing Musical Theatre, Women Entrepreneurs in Popular Music, and currently an independent study in music production and songwriting. Over the summer, Alene completed an internship at a recording studio and worked as a theatre educator for youth classes. She also continued writing music for contemporary and theatrical purposes. Outside of university, Alene studies voice and performs as an actress and musician throughout the country.
