Biography
Aleah Miller is a freelance trumpet and cornet player currently residing in the Central Ohio area. Throughout her career, she has performed professionally in multiple different ensembles; including band, traditional orchestra, and pit orchestra. Locally, she has performed with ensembles such as the Central Ohio Symphony, and currently is a cornetist with the NABBA award winning Dublin Silver Band. She is a masters degree graduate in trumpet performance at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where she primarily studied with Joey Tartell. She also received a bachelors in trumpet performance from Baldwin Wallace University, where she studied with Jack Sutte of The Cleveland Orchestra. She also has performed in summer programs such as the Sewanee Summer Music Festival and as a trumpet player with the College Light Opera Company. As a musician, one of Aleah's personal goals is to advocate for marginalized voices in musical spaces.
