The Art of Running Music Rehearsals
Running a successful music rehearsal goes far beyond making sure the actors are singing the right notes. Music rehearsal is often the very first part of a rehearsal process for a new musical and a new company of collaborating artists, and how that first rehearsal goes sets the tone for the rest of the creative experience. This workshop will explore how music directors can use every moment of a music rehearsal to establish a position of strong, collaborative leadership; develop good relationships with every member of the company; and create a positive culture of both artistic and interpersonal trust and respect.
