Biography
Ruth Kwan was born and raised in Ottawa, Canada, where she studied piano at Le Conservatoire de musique de Gatineau. Upon completion of her Master's, she moved to NYC to further her studies at NYU (Collaborative Piano) and MSM (Professional Studies Certificate). After 4 years on the road with The Phantom of the Opera North American tour (AMD, K1/3), she is back in NYC working as a freelance musician. Other favourite projects include Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in Concert (Synth 1) and the National Tours of A Chorus Line, Mamma Mia! and Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.
