Emily Ballou (she/her) is a Korean American, multi-hyphenate theatre artist and communications professional. Originally from Vermont and now based in NYC, she is passionate about storytelling by uplifting theatre makers of the global majority and other underrepresented voices. When she’s not writing or in rehearsals of her own, she is a choreographer and teaching artist with the National Asian Artists Project, educating the next generation of young artists. She has previously worked with AKA NYC, Broadway Podcast Network, Tribeca Festival, Middlebury Magazine, Potomac Theatre Project, The White River Valley Herald, state legislatures, and various nonprofits. She is an alumna of the national BOLD Women’s Leadership Network, both as a Cohort 3 Scholar and 2021-2022 Resident.  BA Middlebury College (Theatre & American Studies-Journalism, Cultural Politics of Race & Ethnicity).
