Wyn Alyse Thomas
Biography
Wyn Alyse Thomas is a writer, lyricist, actor, director, and producer from Buffalo Grove, IL. In 2022, her play WRITE THEIR WRONGS was performed around the country as one of the eight plays in #ENOUGH: Plays to End Gun Violence and it will soon be published by Playscripts. Her play SCARED (Winner of the IHRAF Young Playwrights Festival, 2nd Place Nuevas Voces Festival) was honored as a finalist for #ENOUGH in 2021, and she served on the project’s teen advisory council in 2022. Her other playwriting credits include STAND. UP. HIT! (Winner: the Blank’s 30th Annual Young Playwrights Festival, soon to be published by Concord Theatricals), HOW TO WRITE A MUSICAL: THE MUSICAL, (Semifinalist: the Blank's 28th Annual Young Playwrights Festival), BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER, (1st Place Drama: UWW Creative Writing Festival, Honorable Mention: Nuevas Voces, Finalist: Prism Theatre Spotlight on New Works), NAOMI AND RUTH: A NEW MUSICAL, (Semifinalist, The Growing Stage’s YPF), and MORE THAN 21 (Finalist: the Light Youth Festival). She is currently studying theatre as a college student in Georgia.
