Virginia Hart Pike
Biography
Virginia is a composer/lyricist, music director, vocal coach, and educator. She worked for eleven years as the Lecturer in Musical Theater at The King's College teaching musical theater performance and history, as well as private voice instruction. She also spent seven years working closely with composer Charles Strouse, musically directing several of his readings. She held the Keyboard 2 chair on Broadway in James Joyce's the Dead, and served as a music assistant on Amazing Grace, the Musical. She is a private voice teacher and vocal coach and has had many students land leading roles on Broadway and one who won a Grammy for his leading role at the Met Opera. She has two musicals in progress she's writing: Walls; and Value Point. Virginia has also served as choirmaster for several choirs that have performed sacred classical and original repertoire, including her own original choral works, all over New York City. She runs a faith-based theater company called REGA Arts.
