Biography

Tamara is a musical director, currently based in London, England. She works within the West End as well as regional theatres around the UK. She is originally from Toronto, Canada where she worked within the Canadian theatre industry before relocating to the UK in 2014.

Tamara is a trained classical pianist. She studied for fifteen years under the tutelage of Marina Geringas and Susan Hall at the Royal Conservatory of Toronto. She was accepted in to the prestigious Glenn Gould School within the Conservatory of Toronto, and she later went on earn a Masters degree in Musical Direction from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

As a musical director, her work spans from full-scale productions, to workshops, readings, cabarets and concerts. Outside of Musical Direction she also works as an arranger and orchestrator. She's particularly passionate and experienced in working in new writing. She is fortunate to collaborate with a number of musical theatres writers around the UK. She regularly collaborates with leading new writing companies - Mercury Musical Developments and Perfect Pitch. She is also the resident musical director for SIGNAL a concert series showcasing brand new and innovative writing from an exciting array of British writers.

Tamara is passionate about education and development for young people...she lectures regularly at Arts Educational Schools in London and works with NYMT (National Youth Music Theatre).
