Suzy Perelman
Biography
Violinist SUZY PERELMAN loves living on the Upper West Side. She is originally from Philadelphia, PA. A former member of the Utah and San Antonio Symphonies, Suzy can now be heard playing in several Broadway shows including My Fair Lady and Phantom of the Opera. She also plays at Radio City for the Christmas Spectacular and in musical productions at the Folksbiene Yiddish Theater and the Irish Repertory Theatre. Suzy is a member of the Brooklyn Philharmonic and also plays frequently with the Pit Stop Players and the American Composers Orchestra. She is a private Suzuki teacher to 12 young violinists. Suzy began playing the violin at age 6 in the Philadelphia public schools. She attended Cleveland Institute of Music and Case Western Reserve University for her undergraduate degrees and Carnegie Mellon for her master's. In her spare time, Suzy enjoys going to concerts and shows, playing word games, traveling, rollerblading, playing chamber music with friends, staying up really late, taking flying trapeze lessons, and Israeli Dancing.
