Sara Bock
Biography
A clarinetist and conductor currently in the DC area, Sara is the principal clarinetist of Maryland Classic Youth Orchestra's Philharmonic Orchestra. She is a high school senior and a member of the professional Capital Wind Symphony, the All-National Honor Band, National Youth Wind Ensemble, and is currently the principal clarinet of Young Artists of America, performing Broadway classics. She is the current president of her high school’s music honors society and has been twice awarded the Certificate of Merit in Music from the National Society for Arts and Letters. Recently, she has had the opportunity to study at NYU in Ted Sperling’s Summer Intensive in Musical Theatre Conducting - one of only three high school students in the country selected. She has taught high school band classes, mentored younger students, and conducted concerts and musicals for her school.
