Sara Bock
Biography
Sara is a clarinetist and conductor currently in the Philadelphia area studying Clarinet Performance at Temple University's Boyer College of Music and Dance in the studios of Gi Lee and principal clarinetist of the Philadelphia Orchestra, Ricardo Morales. Sara is the former principal clarinetist of Maryland Classic Youth Orchestra's Philharmonic Orchestra and the Young Artists of America Orchestra. Sara has been twice awarded the Certificate of Merit in Music from the National Society for Arts and Letters. She is the recipient of the 2023 Maryland Classic Youth Orchestra's Eberly Endowed Chair. Recently, she has had the opportunity to study at NYU in Ted Sperling’s Summer Intensive in Musical Theatre Conducting - one of only three high school students in the country selected. She has taught high school band classes, mentored younger students, conducted concerts, and music-directed productions of "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown," "Little Mermaid Jr.," and "Madagascar Jr."
